People ask me questions: Scole experience

Recently, in an interview that was delivered to the great Glasgow Shkeptics, a member of the audience asked my thoughts about the Scole experience. I was unable to remember what the experiment involved and therefore I was unable to provide a decent answer. This has bothered me since then, and after he had time to think and search, here is my response …

It turns out that I am He was Knowing the Scole experience, but in the incentive of this moment he could not connect the name to the search. These experiments took place in the 1990s and included a series of Seasons with four means. Seasons resulted in different types of alleged evidence that is produced (but not limited to):

-People are touched and the unpopular hands are seen
-Air objects/furniture move
-Airs that seems to be achieved in the room (known as Apports)
-Survival lights move all over the room
-Flights and sounds throughout the room
The well -known messages are delivered
Developing the films that were closed in cans

When members of the Psychological Research Association (SPR) engaged in experiments, they tried to enter some controls such as searching for people before entering the basement that was detained in Seasons, insisting on emptying everyone their pockets and leaving their property abroad, and keeping the bottom entrance to the lock.

The four media asked to notice researchers from SPR on the field on the field, and avoid deception accusations, they wear a bright wrist installed with Velcro to show their place of hands at all times. Nevertheless, it is possible that some media and psychological artists are able to slip from their restrictions while making it look as if they are still present in their seat – one of the most notorious cases of this discovery is Colin Fry Sans during which a trumpet was arrested. There is no evidence that this has happened in Sicole Seasons, but it is a possibility that we should think about. Especially given the fact (it is often ignored) that Robin Foy – who led SCOLE experiments – also led to the reputable SEANCE, and that the SEANCE and Scole experience occurred in the same place – Foy’s house! (Psychological News, 1992.)

SPR investigators also wanted to use Camcorders Infra-Red to record events, but the media refused this because they claimed that this would interfere with the energy of the soul. Robin Foy – one of the media that led the research – also stated that the souls told them “these phenomena can be developed in light, but if it took a long time to produce – years and years instead of the few months that they already took.” (Awllar Investigations: Scole Experience, 2012.)

One of the most critical Scoule critics has registered the most skeptical of the skeptical Bodixter, Brian Downg, in recording that the results of Scole experiences were likely to be the fraud and that by providing food for the conditions that were identified by the so-called alleged psychological media, the deceased became part of the experiment instead of the huge worn out. By extinguishing the lights and staying in their seats, they identified their ability to assess what was already happening in the room with them. As their intentions are to exclude the wrong guidance, they shot themselves in the foot by making it very difficult to be able to do this. (Dunning, 2009)

It has found that it is especially interesting that FOY explains the lack of lighting in Seasons regarding time restrictions when experimental Seasons has also produced thousands of hours of spiritual communication, (afternoon investigations: The Scole Experience, 2012, 2012). There are 8,760 hours per year, so I personally suggest that the time you spend sitting in the dark could have already been eliminated in an attempt to show the same results in the light. You know … in the name of science.

The American magician, Mark Edward, was invited, along with Brian Downg and other skeptical in the United States to try to relax the experiences of the discovery channel. They did this by using Stooge in the room that will move things, touch people and speak through a tube, (strange or what: life after death, 2013) The participants in Sence were a mixture of believers and non -believers and they were apparently convinced and even afraid of these tricks, (GERBIC, 2011.)

Although I am not convinced that deception can be excluded in Scole experiments, I don’t think Edwards entertainment offers any insight into the experience. Although it offers an insight into how SEANCE Be able to Be fake, there is no evidence that these specific methods were used during Scole. However, this is not evidence that SEANIS concerned was authentic or provided evidence of anything in particular.

The allegations that come from Scole are Fantasitcal and many, but the evidence that the events are real not present. We are expected to take the nominal value of the testimony of the eye witnesses for the participants, and this is not necessarily reliable. For example, we have to consider that although the protesters may have the best intentions to be objective observers, they are still vulnerable to suggestion and biases. Research has shown that it is possible to inform the protesters in Sence that the table is raised when it is not, and for others to agree to the post -full thing, the table has actually raised it, (Wisean, Greening, Smith, 2003.))

There is also a part of me who cannot get rid of my doubts about Foy’s participation in the trumpet incident in Colin Fry. After discovering the deception, there was no condemnation from Foy and his fellow researchers who all claimed that they were turbulent like Colin Fry about what happened, indicating that this was the involvement of the soul and not the frank fraud that led to Colin Fry to escape his restrictions and hint around the room.

I hope this will answer the question he posed to me in Glasgow.
