Tolerance is created when people celebrate different social groups with their common features and their differences as positive things. Establishing communications with a variety of people around you makes it difficult to stick to deep biases, however, communication with the world online is not a treatment for everyone for intolerance, hatred and intolerance.
Some argue that, if anything, the Internet nourishes intolerance and facilitates the fascists to target their intended victims. There was recently a lot of retreat from some of the online platforms, the most prominent of which are Twitter to reduce hate speech and harassment, but this may be very late? (Marcot, 2016)
Thomas Mayer, the fascist extremist who killed MP Joe Cox managed to contact Nazi organizations in the United States and South Africa via the Internet, and for many who have such advanced right -wing ideologies, it is really possible to create an “white power” room while sitting on their computer. (Cobin, Parvin and Taylor, 2016)
Recent events such as Donald Trump’s election in the United States of America and the popularity of politicians and extremist right -wing groups throughout Europe such as UKIP. Britain first and Marian Luban makes the world look like a desperate dark place. Perfectly, many minority societies view the societies in which they live and wonder what this means for their existence.
‘I had enough tolerance A friend of a friend on Facebook recently wrote, Why should I tolerate racists and Nazis?“It is a fair question and I saw that many people asked why they should wander around people” they. “Racist“When Donald Trump was elected as a coming president of the United States of America, this was a voice charge in his favor, but, in fact, the cause of his popularity is not a duo – people were not racists or not as the primary candidates, but to vote people who voted on it. I was built.
Saying that you are tolerated with tolerance, well … not tolerant. Sorry, but it is. This is good. Sit this one and do not deal with people who think differently from you.
Tolerance in its most common forms includes maintaining an objective position towards those who differ opinions and practices from our region. When people talk about being tolerant, they usually mean this in our behavior that defends behavior, we see others also do through tolerance, open and friendly. You can do this by engaging with people of different cultures, educating yourself about civil rights (and history) movements in your area, or visiting museums, exhibitions and local exhibitions that celebrate artistic forms of different cultures, for example.
Tolerance is not related to compulsion Leave Fascist or fanatical people have their opinion without challenging just because they have the right to express their opinions (which they do, as they do). You cannot coexist with people with harmful biases in their heads and hearts, and no one should expect someone to do so.
The most effective way to combat hate speech, intolerance and ignorance is speaking and confronting errors in facts. It is not surprising that many people are steeped in thinking about engaging with the fascists we see in the news now and this is fair enough.
However, tolerance in this context is the realization that the rulings of biases have been learned and can be unbearable. When people truly call for tolerance in times of political and social turmoil such as these people, they do not ask people not to protest, and challenge bad ideas, demands and speech, but they ask to think about the way we deal with people who face a challenge to make our words and actions more effective.
It is important to remember that many opinions other than tolerance do not come from white people looking for attention who throw a Nazi greeting when news cameras are directed to them. The media focuses on the most strange examples of what is often classified as “the right of the alternative” – Goosestepping, Nazi Al -Tayhah, “nigger“The fascists with whom they move rarely change their minds. Instead, the daily intolerance of the old lady comes in the Zawiya store, the teenager in the bus who says what his parents say, the woman who does not know that stereotypes have an attack.
These are people with opinions that we can contribute to change if we try. The least we can do is the commitment to silence or misuse of people (even if he feels satisfied), most of what we can do is leading role models and showing those minorities that are currently being persecuted more than others that everyone does not hate. We can show people who are guilty of unofficial prejudice that their words are unacceptable and their opinions are wrong.
Hey, you can even the political campaign and make your voice hear about these issues that are voted, and the bills and suggestions that are approved by elected officials.
Nobody has a commitment to facing fanatic opinions when they see or hear them, but promoting tolerance should not be about the involvement of people who have fanatic opinions and beliefs. It is only about to be better than that and consider how terrifying these people is easy.
